Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women and Girls is our core area of work. We work with multilateral partners and engage with the private sector in the areas of:
Research and Analysis
Policy Development and Implementation
Program and Project Management
Training Tools, Facilitation and Capacity Building
Evaluation and Monitoring
We use the Gender Based Analysis Plus method and our approach is fully aligned with Canada’s Feminist International Assistance Strategy (FIAP).
Gender Based Analysis Plus
GBA Plus is an analytical process that provides a rigorous method for the assessment of systemic inequalities, as well as a means to assess how diverse groups of women, men, and gender diverse people may experience policies, programs and initiatives. We conduct customized GBA Plus training and full-scale GBA Plus assessments. This tool is a requirement of government of Canada but is applicable to all sectors and organizations.
Canada’s Feminist International Assistance Policy (FIAP)
FIAP is a feminist approach to international assistance recognizing that the promotion of gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls require the transformation of social norms and power relations. The Policy recognizes that promoting gender equality and empowering women and girls is the most effective approach to reduce extreme poverty and build a more peaceful, inclusive and prosperous world.
